Obituary

Glen Ray Koch, 57 of Bayard, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023. A celebration of Glen's life will be held at 1:13 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Larry Grauberger officiating.

Glen was born June 14, 1965, in Englewood, Colorado to LeRoy Alvin Koch and Cindy Rae (Riedy) Koch. He attended Arapahoe High School in Littleton, CO. Glen left before graduation and went onto vocational school at Pickens Tech in Aurora, CO, where he earned his welding certificate.

Glen worked for King Soopers warehouse as a Teamster for over 15 years and he worked as a welder at various jobs for over 20 years.

Glen married Tina M. Moberly on May 16, 1992, in Littleton, CO, although they separated in 2012, they remained legally married and best of friends.

Glen was a vested member with the Teamsters Union Local 435 for 15 years.

In his younger years, Glen enjoyed playing baseball and was the star pitcher for his high school team. After high school, he was an avid softball player, playing in and often winning many softball tournaments. Glen also enjoyed fishing, camping, rock hunting or just being outdoors. When Glen's kids were growing up, he enjoyed going on poker runs with Rylee and toddling on country cruises with Shelby. In his later years, Glen especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids making memories on adventures of all kinds.

Glen was a collector of all things: coins, trading cards, coats, hats, and rocks. He pretty much collected anything that was collectible and even collected things that weren't so collectible.

He is preceded in death by his father LeRoy Alvin Koch; uncles, Neal W. Koch and Kenneth Koch and grandfathers Chauncy Riedy and Walter A. Koch, also many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Glen is survived by his former spouse and best friend Tina M. Koch, mother Cindy Rae Koch, daughter Shelby Koch (Mike Bowker) of Sterling, CO, grandsons Hayden and Zander Bowker of Sterling, CO, son Rylee Koch of Sterling, CO, granddaughter Liliana Koch-Pennington of Buena Vista, CO, sister Kellie (Bill) Washington of Brewster, MN, niece Destinie (Clinton) Stapleton and their two sons Shjon and Zack, nephew Louis Washington of Lakefield, MN and his two sons William and Eli, sister LeAnne (Shane) Gamet of Roxborough Park, CO, niece Tearza (Risa) Gamet of Roxborough Park, CO, nephew Kaidin Gamet of Roxborough Park, CO, sister-in-law DeAnna (Ryan) Burton and their children Lorena and Carter Burton of Thornton, CO, furry partner in crime Gracie Lee (who lived everywhere her master lived because she was always by his side), and an aunt, many cousins and friends.
