Gladys May (Tyndal, Hedges) Frank, 89, of Alliance, Neb., and formerly of Sterling, died Aug. 25, 2007, in Alliance. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Gosser officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Frank was born Sept. 23, 1917, to Clinton Oliver and Vera May (Graham) Tyndal in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Her family moved to Lamar, Neb., in 1922.

On March 24, 1939, she married Evan Hedges.

On Feb. 8, 1982, she married Dr. B.N. Frank.

Mrs. Frank lived in Sterling and the surrounding area all her adult life. She operated or worked in restuarants, many called "Glady's Cafe."

She moved to Hemingford, Neb., in 1991, after the death of her husband, Dr. Frank. She felt it important to support the disabled American veterans.

Mrs. Frank is survived by her children, Dwayne Hedges and wife Linda of Fairbury, Neb., and Martha (Hedges) Cullan and husband Douglas of Hemingford; brother, Russell Tyndal and wife Nancy of Holyoke; grandchildren, Chad, Sean, Dwayne Jr. and Mark Hedges, Chris, Pete and John Cullan, Dr. Jami Chisdak; step-grandchildren, Gary, Terry, Colette and Candy; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 12 step great-great-granchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Evan "Curly" Hedges and Dr. B.N. Frank; and brother, Donald Tyndal.
