Gilberta "Gilly" Boyer, 92 of Sterling, was born June 9, 1920 in Akron and died Nov. 26, 2012 in Sterling.
Visitation will be Fri., Nov. 30, 2012 from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Bigler III officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemtery.
Gilberta graduated from Sterling High School in 1938. She was a cook at NJC and also worked at Gibsons and WalMart.
Married to Don Boyer in June 1938 in Crook, CO until his death in 1983.
She was a member of the Elks Drove No. 213.
Mrs. Boyer was preceded in death by her husband Don Boyer in 1983; her parents, Earl and Caroline (Paoli) Franklin Sr.; daughter Judy Lorenzini; sister Marcella Downs; and brothers Earl Franklin, Johnny Franklin and Norman Franklin.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara Boyer of Prescott, Ariz.; sons: Gary Boyer and wife Carol of Ft. Morgan, Bob Boyer and wife Patty of Ft. Morgan and Bill Boyer and wife Paula of Redfield, SD; sisters: Pat Kuehn of Parker and Marilyn Christenson and husband Leo of Sterling; brothers: Royal Franklin and wife Dolle of Littleton and Stanley Franklin and wife Marilyn of Littleton; as well as 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
