Gayle M. Gregory, 79, of Sterling, died Dec. 12, 2011, in Sterling. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jared Sonnenberg officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

She was born in Bayard, Neb., on Oct. 22, 1932, to Arthur Wilson and Zola V. Adkins Wilson. She was the oldest of seven children. She grew up on a farm in Nebraska and in Logan County.

After attending school and earning a nursing degree, she moved to Denver, where she later met and married Neal O. Gregory. After their marriage, she became a homemaker and enjoyed numerous crafts, games, reading and puzzles. She loved spending time with family and friends playing games and assisting with the grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Mona Hurt and husband Raymond; son, Michael Sibal and wife Georgiann; daughter, Deborah Hradecky and husband Robert; sisters, Joyce Morrell, Lela County and husband Victor; brothers, Dave Wilson and wife Sharon, and Delmar Wilson; four grandchildren, Audra Hurt, Megan Hurt, Katie Peterson, Jeremy Sibal; six great-grandchildren, Michael Sean Sibal, Jason Sibal, Brayden Vrbka, Colby Peterson, Michayla Sibal and Mikaylee Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her husband, Neal O. Gregory; son, Joseph Sibal; sisters, Gloria Melvin and Eva Melby; and her parents.
