Freddie Joe Blagg, 81 of Sterling passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 5 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Jodie Harless officiating. Freddie will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery following the service.

Freddie was born December 6, 1939 in Thomas, OK to Lloyd E. and Olive June (Loudenslager) Blagg. He graduated from Pueblo County High School in 1958 and married Barbara Knuth on June 10, 1961. The couple moved to Sterling, CO in 1965, where he was employed at the Sterling Coca-Cola Bottling Company where he bottled pop for 25 years. He also worked at Nichols Tillage.

Freddie enjoyed camping and fishing with his grandchildren and also enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren Zoie and Thor.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Blagg, sister Barbara Hobbick, father Lloyd Blagg; mother Olive June Scott; stepfather Raymond Scott and brother-in-law Robert Knuth brother-in-law Alvin Bressan; nephew Robert Bressan and niece Becky Bressan.

Freddie is survived by his daughter Cheryl Cook and husband Randy; son Dennis Blagg and wife Amber all of Sterling; sister Sandra Bressan of Pueblo, CO; sister-in-law Nancy Patterson and husband Jim of Rye, CO; brother-in-law Raymond Knuth and wife Mary of Frederick, CO; 5 grandchildren, Allen Cook, Greg Cook, Alexis Schooley and husband Jared, Josie Blagg and Madison Blagg; great-grandchildren Zoie Blagg and Thor Schooley and numerous nieces and nephews.
