Fred Rufus Madden Jr.

Fred Rufus Madden Jr., 56, of Sterling, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 9, 2026. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Fred Rufus Madden Jr. was born August 18, 1969, in Boulder, Colorado to Fred Rufus Madden Sr. and Jesse (Moore) Madden. He attended school in Boulder and received his GED in 1987. For many years he worked in retail and did odd jobs to meet the needs of his family. He married Christina Bates on May 6, 2023, in Sterling, CO.

He enjoyed fishing, hanging out with friends and family and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jesse, and son Wyatt Madden.

Fred survived his wife Christina, his father Fred Madden Sr.; daughters Kendell, Aubrey, Charlotte, Courtney and Kenisha; sons Austin, and Jeremiah; grandchildren Divinity, Davian, Matthew, Atticus, Roman, Evelynn, William, and one coming in April; and two sisters Kathy Lopez and husband Romulo and Chris Stacy and husband Russell.
