Fred Patrick DeCoopman Fred Patrick DeCoopman, 81, of Atwood, died March 31, 2011, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Vigil service and Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert L. Wedow officiating. Interment will be at Akron Cemetery.
Mr. DeCoopman was born Sept. 7, 1929, in Detroit to George J. and Elizabeth A. (Garver) DeCoopman.
He lived in Denver until 1973, when he moved to Atwood.
On Oct. 31, 1964, he married Peggy Greenwood in Denver.
Mr. DeCoopman was a house painter through the years.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy DeCoopman of Atwood; sons, Troy DeCoopman of Atwood, Rick Richards of Sterling and Dan DeCoopman and wife Carrie of Bountiful, Utah; daughter, Deb Neal and husband Lawrence of Hillrose; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. DeCoopman was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
