Frank "Fal" Allen
Frank Allen, 87, of Padroni passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Sterling. There will be no services.
Frank was born on May 7, 1926 in Paris, Illinois to Billy L. and Lilly (Wade) Boyles. He graduated from Trojan High School in Longmont, Colorado and took college classes in electronics. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a drummer in the Army Band.
He married Marlene I. Collins on August 19, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico. He moved from Gering, Nebraska and lived in this area since 1972.
Frank owned and operated FM Communications, a 2-way radio shop. Prior to this, he was a DJ and engineer for several radio stations in the tri-state area. He was a member of BPOE of Chadron and Sterling, West Nebraska Weathernet, Amateur Radio, and was a member of the Methodist Church in Gering, Nebraska. Frank enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Allen of Moscow, Idaho and Mark Allen of Padroni, Colorado; grandsons, Dillon Allen, Devin Allen and wife Hilary, all of Padroni; and niece, Aaminah KathyLou Durrani, Houston, Tx.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene; and sister, Carolyn Ownby.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
