Florine Rose Griese (Knopp), 90, of Sterling, CO, passed away on August 25, 2023, in Loveland, CO. She was born on March 28, 1933, in Paul, ID to the late Jacob and Katherine Knopp.A private gathering will be held to celebrate Florine's life and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Florine's name.Florine is survived by her son Mark Griese and his wife Patricia, her daughter Lisa, and Florine's grandchildren Stephanie and her husband Matt Monroe, Tracy and her husband Matt Wells, David Griese, Ryan Matson, Samantha Matson, and Florine's great-grandchildren Madilyn, Dylon, Jaron, Mason, Jakobie, and Riley. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.Florine married Don Griese on June 20, 1954, in Fort Morgan, where they lived. Then in 1959, they moved to Vernal, UT; then in 1976, Don & Florine and their kids, Mark & Lisa moved to Sterling, CO. Florine had a successful career, dedicating almost 29 years of her life to Burger King. She then worked at Wendy's for a few years and sold Avon after moving to Sterling. Florine's strong work ethic and commitment to her jobs earned her the respect of her co-workers and customers.In her free time, Florine led an active lifestyle. She enjoyed going for walks every day after work and prioritized her health by engaging in regular exercise. Florine found immense joy in spending time with her beloved grandkids and her entire family. She was a devoted grandmother who created lasting memories with her loved ones.During her younger years, Florine's creative talents shone through her passion for sewing and crocheting. She lovingly crafted several blankets, showcasing her skill and dedication to her craft. Her handiwork will serve as a cherished reminder of her love and creativity.Florine's life was not without its share of challenges and losses. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Don, three babies, her parents Jacob and Katherine Knopp, as well as her four brothers and three sisters. Their memories will forever hold a special place in her heart.Florine Rose Griese touched the lives of many through her unwavering dedication to her family, her career, and her hobbies. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to have known her.
