Florence Mary Sanzo, 82, of Sterling, died April 22, 2010, in Sterling. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Keith Gentry officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to Paul Peter and Hattie Adaline (White) Sanzo.
Ms. Sanzo was a housekeeper and caregiver through the years.
She moved to Sterling from Michigan in May 1962. She lived in Stoneham for a few years and then moved back to Sterling in 1984.
Ms. Sanzo was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, W.C.T.U., and Royal Neighbors of America.
Her Florence Mary Sanzo colored pictures won many ribbons at the Logan County Fair. She loved to sing and enjoyed playing Yahtzee and Bingo. Her favorite food was shrimp, which Eileen McMahon from J&L Cafe provided for her.
Her real true home in her later years was at Devonshire Acres, where they treated her like she was one of their own.
Ms. Sanzo is survived by siblings, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Sat., Apr. 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with services concluding at the funeral home.
