Fernando "Junior" Gamez III, 44 of Sterling passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 in Denver. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 26 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Hackbarth officiating. The service will conclude at the chapel.

Junior was born on February 12, 1973 in Dallas, Texas to Fernando II and Rita Ann (Four) Gamez. He worked many years as a machine operator in the highway construction business. He married Samantha L. McCay on December 2014 in Sterling.

Junior is survived by his wife, Samantha; children, Desiray Rose Gamez, Monica Renae Kellan, David Kellan, Israel Alejandro Baray, Gregory George Eugene McCay, Fernando Emilio Gamez IV and Alejandro Maletoe Gamez; siblings, Tammie Maria Medina, Gloria Maria Gamez, Duane Richard Gamez, Goldie Marie Gamez and Liaz Ringo Games; 3 grandchildren, Faith Rose Gamez, Christopher Junior Arriola and Hope Ann Arriola; and uncles, Villa Gamez and wife Wanda and Urv Gamez and wife Lila.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Fernando Gamez, Sr. and Mary Gamez, parents; sister, Misty Gamez and his Aunt Cananda Gamez.
