Obituary

Fern Jobe Fern L. Jobe, 76, of Crook, died Oct. 22, 2010, in Loveland. Memorial services were held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at United Church of Crook. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

She was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Sharon Springs, Kan., to August E. and Ivy Irene (Kroetsching) Zuehlsdorf.
She graduated from Crook High School and continued her education, becoming a licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed her career, specializing in geriatric nursing.

On Nov. 15, 1957, she married Norman D. Jobe in Sterling. They were married 45 years, until his death.

Mrs. Jobe was a member of United Church of Crook and treasurer of Crook VFW Women's Auxiliary.
She enjoyed taking care of her family, friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed watching her great-grandson, Cole Kuskie, with his sports, and her great-granddaughter, Alexandria Kuskie, with her church and school activities.

She is survived by her daughters, Corrine Sondag and husband Mike of Olive Branch, Miss., and Pam Makuski of Crook; son, Norman Jobe Jr. and family of Greeley; brother, Marvin Zuehlsdorf and family of San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jobe was preceded in death by her parents, August and Ivy Zuehlsdorf; sister, Phyllis Waite; brother, Raymond Zuehlsdorf; husband, Norman Jobe; daughter, Cyan Nixon; and grandson, Travis Makuski.

Memorials may be made to the Fern L. Jobe Memorial.
