Faith Louise Yockey, 78, of Sterling, died Aug. 10, 2009, in Sterling. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at First Foursquare Church, with the Rev. Doug Burroughs officiating. Services will conclude at the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

Mrs. Yockey was born Oct. 10, 1930, to Lloyd and Alta (Sinkey) Church in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from high school.

On Dec. 26, 1949, she married Arthur E. Yockey in Sioux City.

She moved to Sterling two years ago from Thornton. She was a member of First Foursquare Church.

Mrs. Yockey is survived by her husband, Arthur E. Yockey of Sterling; sons, Andy Yockey and wife Judy of Thornton and Alan Yockey and wife Karen of Strasburg; daughters, Julie McBee and husband Scott of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Janet Schock of Arvada; sister, Betty Friemuth and husband Harold of Marion, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Arnold Yockey; daughter, JoAnn Urbach; one brother and one sister.
