Eva M. Barber Merrill, 83 of Sterling passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Greeley, CO. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 23 at the Sterling Berean Church with Rev. Daniel A. Holsten officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Haxtun Cemetery.

Eva was born December 29, 1933 in Haxtun, Colorado to Cecil Len and Bernice Lenore (Guernsey) Salvador. She married Leland Marvel Barber on August 17, 1952 in Holyoke, Colorado and then later married Kenneth T. Merrill on June 25, 1965 in Haxtun, Colorado. Eva worked many years for the RE-1 Valley School District as a bus driver.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Leland Barber; son Kerry Barber; parents Cecil and Lenore Salvador; sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Roland Hackett.

Eva is survived by her four sons, Leland (Sue) Barber of Westminster, CO, David (Kathy Britton) Barber, Randy (Christa) Barber both of Sterling, CO and Jerome Merrill of Broomfield, CO; two daughters, Marva Forell and Marnet (Dave) Kutchar both of Sterling, CO; sister Donna (Albert) Barber; sister-in-law Phyllis Glick; brother-in-law Eugene (Jane) Wheatley; 21 grandchildren, Lee, Casey, Jennifer, Dana, Jen, Jason, Tommy, Chris, Nickole, Bryson, Cody, Andy, Cassie, Tara, Shane, Ashley, Tanya, Sharayah, Ryan, Rylie and Molly; 16 great grandchildren, Zach, Haley, Matthew, Curran, Sierra, Emerson, Veya, Shelby, Devon, Grace, Emma, Makayla, Madison, Myla, Ariya and Nova.
