Obituary

Eva L. Kuhns, 75 of Sterling, passed away Tues., Nov. 3, 2015 in Sterling. Memorial service will be held 10:30 am, Mon. Nov 9 at the Living Word Church of God, with services concluding at church.

Eva L. "Shorty" Lintner was born May 17, 1940 to Harold E. and Mildred Keiser Lintner in Otterbein, Indiana. The family moved to Colorado where she attended Wiggins High School. Eva married Samuel V. Kuhns Dec. 21, 1957 in Weldona, CO.

She was a victim's advocate, a waitress, child caregiver, worked in the office at Timmerman's, but first and foremost was the care she gave her husband, boys and extended loved ones. Eva was a long standing member of the Living Word Church of God, a board member, music director and Sunday school teacher at the church. She enjoyed reading, music and singing and playing the guitar with family and friends at jams.

Eva was a devoted wife, mother, special aunt to Roy and a constant supporter to those she took into her heart.

She is survived by her husband Samuel V. Kuhns; sons Samuel R. Kuhns and wife Sonia and children and grandchildren; Daniel C. Kuhns and wife Ann and children and grandchildren; daughter Diana Kuhns and children and grandchildren; brother Harold (Festus) Lintner and wife Peggy; sisters Betty Townsend and Rick, Marilyn Belcher and Margie Lintner; numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, sons Harold "Willie" Kuhns and Russel Kuhns, sister Nancy Patten and husband Jerry, Sr.
