Esther Olinda Schuppe

Esther Olinda Schuppe, 92, of Broomfield, died Feb. 22, 2008, in Broomfield. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Nash officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Esther was born June 27, 1915, to Casper and Anna Marie (Hartwick) Roth in Iliff. She was raised in Sterling and attended Sterling schools.
On Jan. 8, 1933, she married Alex Schuppe in Sterling. They farmed north of Sterling until retirement in 1988. They then moved into town.
Esther was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter member of the church's Ruth Guild. While living in Broomfield, she attended Risen Savior Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Harms, Delores Kingsley and Carolyn Bundy, all of Broomfield; son-in-law Gordon Bundy of Broomfield; six grandchildren, Deborah Borer and husband Ted of Denver, Joni Feldhauser and husband Mick of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Shelly Kingsley of Denver, Brian Meehan and wife Christy of Broomfield, Leslie McGeorge and husband Tom of Castle Rock, and Bradley Meehan and wife Kathy of Broomfield; nine great-grandchildren, Jacob Borer and wife Ann, Grant Borer, Tyler Meehan, Kyle Meehan, Emily Meehan, Jessica Olinda Meehan, Matthew Haug, Kelli Woodman and Haley McGeorge; and one great-great-granddaughter, Amelia Borer.
She was precedd in death by her husband Alex Schuppe on April 19, 2003. She was the last survivor of eight sisters and five brothers. She was also preceded in death by sons-in-law Walter Harms and Charles Kingsley.
