Elvira "Carmen" Sanchez, 90 of Sterling entered eternal life on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Armando Flores officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Carmen was born on March 20, 1926 to Estanislado and Pilar (Rodriguez) Gonzalez. She was known as "Mom, grandma, Elvira, Carmen," and many other names but was one unique lovable woman. She loved playing Bingo, eating guacamole, singing, but most of all she loved her family.

Carmen forever created many memories. The sound of her voice and her notable quotes like; "I'm hungry, no you're not, yes I am", "Love you grandma, me too Lupey", "Love you more", "bye Felicia, bye Aleecha", and some that we probably shouldn't repeat.

She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Sanchez and her son Abel Sanchez.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by the lives of her children who survive her; Jesse Flores and Elizabeth Sanchez of Greeley, CO, Sylvia Redwine and Russ of Elwood, NE, Mike Sanchez of Burns, WY, Carmen Estrada of Sterling, CO, Mark Sanchez and wife Sheri of Central City, NE, Corina Sanchez and husband Derrick of Colorado Springs, CO and Daughter-in-law, Sandra Sanchez of Waco, TX; 27 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
