Elna Hunker Elna Marie Hunker, 79, of Sterling, died Oct. 15, 2011, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, Chaney-Reager, with Blaine Malmedal officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Superior, Neb., to Elmer "Sid" and Edith Helen (Thompson) Miner. She graduated from high school.
Mrs. Hunker was a daycare provider.
On Feb. 28, 1952, she married Glenn Hunker in Fort Collins.
She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall.
Mrs. Hunker is survived by her daughters, Deborah Raffaeli and husband Peter of Sterling, Glenda Erwin and husband Ronald of Sterling and Diana Hunker of Sterling; sons, Jeffrey Hunker and wife Summer of Sterling, Jeremy Hunker of Greeley; sister, Dorothy Hunker and husband Delmar of Las Cruces, N.M.; brother, Charles Miner and wife Erma of Sterling; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Hunker on Nov. 28, 1990; parents; grandson, Dalton, Hunker; brother, Stanley Miner, Sr.; sister, Juanita Trammell.
