Elizabeth Regina Schreiner, 97, of Sterling, died March 16, 2012, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at First English Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Andrew Dimit officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Elizabeth was born May 13, 1914, on a farm in the Leroy community east of Sterling to Emanuel and Lydia (Stark) Frank. She attended elementary school in the Leroy community and high school at Sterling High School.

On Nov. 1, 1933, she married Jacob Schreiner in Sterling. They were married for 64 years. He was a tenant farmer and she was primarily a farm wife and homemaker. She had a very pleasant, loving disposition, was an excellent cook, enjoyed the Lutheran church and loved to sew and crochet. When they retired from farm life they moved to the city of Sterling, where they lived for many years.

Elizabeth is survived by her only child, Jack Schreiner of Wheat Ridge; grandson, Martin Schreiner and wife Janet and their two sons, Timothy and Daniel, of Loveland; and granddaughter, Michelle Linenberger and husband Mark and daughter, Julli Ann, and son, Aaron, of Arvada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jacob Schreiner, who died Dec. 25, 1997; sisters, Elsie Kanzler and Anna Halford; daughter-in-law, Shirley Schreiner who died March 17, 2006.
