Obituary
Eleanor Rachel Phillips passed away Wed., March 16, 2016 in Haxtun, CO. Visitation will be 10am until 4pm, Tues. Mar. 22 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11am Wed., Mar. 23 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Rev. Orville Stewart officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Eleanor was born May 5, 1920 in Sargent, NE to Orvil Melvin and Mary Etta Zion Exley. She married Earnest Calvin Phillips on Aug. 15, 1937 in Sargent, NE. They were married for 53 years.
She was a health care provider and minister.
Eleanor is survived by her son Darrel Phillips and wife Rosetta of Haxtun, grandson Zane Phillips of Bailey, CO great grandsons Michael Phillips of Bailey and Bremen Vance of Ames, Iowa and great great grandson Oliver Vance of Ames, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Phillips in 1990 and her brothers and sister.
