Obituary
Eileen Mary Gentry, 88 of Sterling, passed away Sat. July 4, 2015 in Sterling. Memorial service will be 10:30 am Wed., July 15, 2015 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
Eileen was born Oct. 29, 1926 in Frontier, Wyoming to George and Maria Besitka Beyda. She was a graduate of Rock Springs High School and the University of Wyoming. She was granted a doctor of business administration degree by the Graduate School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. She taught at the high school level in Wyoming. Eileen taught at Colorado University for ten years. She also taught at the Indiana University and Northeastern Junior College.
She married Vernon LeRoy Gentry on June 14, 1967 in Raton, New Mexico.
Eileen served on the Board of Directors of the Sterling Arts Council. She was manager of the Sterling H & R Block office and operated with her husband a small accounting firm thru the years. Eileen enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her nephews James Wilde and Joseph Wilde both of Ogden, Utah; cousins Gene and Nancy Pugh of Minnesota and by her many close friends.
Eileen was preceeded in death by her husband .
