IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edythe "Lou"
Blagg
June 20, 1944 – August 17, 2025
Edythe "Lou" Blagg was born on June 20, 1944, and entered into her eternal life on August 17, 2025. A viewing and receiving of friends will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 4-6 at the Halouska Family Chaney-Reager Funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, 2025, at 10:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Jared Sonnenberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Peetz Cemetery.
Lou was born to Louis E and Thelma N (Wagner) Nation in Sterling, CO and was the youngest of 7 children. At the age of 18 she married the love of her life, Dean Blagg, in Pueblo, CO. They were married for 42 years until his unexpected passing on July 25, 2005. From this union three daughters were born: Donna Natale, Geneal Rose and Tracie DeAnn. Lou was dedicated, hardworking, loyal and loving. Her work ethic was second to none, always on demonstration at the demanding jobs she held and in how she cared for her family. Lou was a rock for many, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Lou had a great love for reading and could get lost for hours in the words of her favorite authors. Lou enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time in her garden as daylight and health would allow. She loved canning and pickling what she grew, a talent she passed down to at least one of her grandchildren. In her younger years, she and her husband shared a passion for bowling, and she was a member of a Monday Night ladies league and Saturday Nite Mixed League, including teams that competed in state tournaments. She successfully passed down this passion to her children and grandchildren.
Lou is survived by her daughters, Donna (Harley)Morgison; Geneal (Charlie) Fuller; Tracie (Sean) Gibson. Grandchildren: Tara (Bryson) Fredregill and their sons William and John; Timothy (Desi) Neel Jr and his children Mary Neel and Dominic Neel and Stepchildren Curtis Winters and his son Asher, Clarissa Medrano and her son Beau, Deamon Medrano, and Jay Medrano; William (Anjo) Blagg; and Ethan (Sierra) Blagg and sons Drake Heath and Deacon and Ryker Dean Blagg. Brother-in-law Eugene "Buzz" Blagg and many nieces and nephews.
Lou is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Thelma Nation, brothers Orin (Eileen)Nation, Lyle (Ruth) Nation, Ronnie Nation and Leon Nation. Infant sister Sharon Nation and her twin Sharyl Nation. Nephews Austin Nation and Michael Blagg and niece Renee Blagg. Father and Mother-in-Law Frank and Donna Blagg and sister-in-law Tootie Renard. Twin infant grandsons Dalton and Dayton. Special friends Minnie Klippert and Peggy Neilson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lou's name to the Logan County Humane Society or the Hospice of the Plains.
