Edwin Boden, 91, of Sterling, died March 27, 2010, in Sterling. Private family services will be held. Inurnment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
Mr. Boden was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Idalia to Brunke and Clara C. (Stutheit) Boden. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from January 1942 until his discharge in September 1945.
On Jan. 13, 1942, he married Pauline Teets in Kimball, Neb.
He worked for Watts-Hardy Dairy in Boulder, retiring in 1981. He moved to Sterling in 1996.
Mr. Boden was a 50-year member of Fraternity Order of Grange and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy D. Railsback and husband Lyle of Greeley; sons, Calvin L. Boden and wife Sallie of Sterling, Larry B. Boden and wife Nancy of Colorado Springs and Daryl G. Boden and wife Sally of Chester, Md.; sister, Anna Fisher of Sun Valley, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline Boden in 1998; three grandsons; and 12 brothers and sisters.
