Edward L. Wright, 67 passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 in Sterling. Private family services will be held at a later time.

Edward Lawrence was born in Moberly, Missouri to Leland Lavern and Dorthy Catherine Christine (Heddinghaus) Wright. Lawrence grew up and lived in Moberly, MO for many years and attended church at St. Pius X Catholic Church. He moved to Sterling in 2001 and married Wendy Lynn Brinkopf in Cancun, Mexico on April 29, 2003. Lawrence and Wendy enjoyed their married life by traveling and making memories. He worked as a lieutenant at the Colorado Department of Corrections. He liked reading books, spending time with his family and he enjoyed making them happy. His motto was "Live like you're retired, before you're retired!"

Lawrence is survived by his wife Wendy Brinkopf; children, Josefine Leonora Wright of Center, MO, Catherin Florence Wright, Kevin Jimmy Noble both of Ft. Collins, CO, Timothy James Brinkopf, Andrea McLaughlin Brinkopf both of Lakewood, CO, Rebecca Marie Backer Brinkopf and Robert Michael Backer both of North Platte, NE; brother Carlos Lavern Wright of Shelbina, MO; grandchildren, Edward Avery Fogle of Center, MO, Camden Scott Brinkopf, Tyson Michael Pallatt both of Lakewood, CO and Mayson James Backer of North Platte, NE.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frank Wright, Jim Curtis, Dorsey Wright and William Wright and sister-in-law Linda Hess.
