Ed Hayes, 68, of Iliff, died Dec. 3, 2011, in Greeley. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Pastor Gilbert Gutierrez officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Mr. Hayes was born Dec. 19, 1942, in Akron to Gerald C. and Viola M. (Buchholz) Hayes.

He was a member of the C.B. Club, owned and operated the E.J. Hayes D.J. business and played in the band, "Colorado Misfits."

Mr. Hayes enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, attending demolition derbies and music.

He is survived by Debbie Atkins of Iliff; children, Corinna McGregor of North Platte, Neb., Chrystal Lulf and husband Dick of Sterling, Justin Hayes and wife Amanda of Iliff, Greg Hayes of New York, N.Y., Edward Barnes and wife Toni of Kimball, Neb., Victor Hayes and wife Sara of North Platte, Kirk Hansen and wife Alicia of Sterling, Anthony Hansen of Sterling; brother, Phil Hayes and wife Mary Ellen of Wray; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
