Fulton Duane Kloberdanz, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18 ^th surrounded by family. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home followed by a memorial service with Father Michael Bodzioch as celebrant. The service will conclude at the chapel.

Duane grew up in Sterling, Colorado and while in in school participated in 4-H, FFA, Band and Choir.  Upon graduation, Duane spent time working for CO-Ops as a manager while living in Imperial, Nebraska and Monte Vista, Colorado.  Duane and his family moved back to Sterling in the early 70s where he farmed north of town and started raising and feeding cattle. Duane spent most of his life working in agriculture, dedicated to ranching, horses and dogs.  He had many hobbies and loved spending time in the mountains, fishing, hunting, grilling and smoking BBQ.  He would from time to time cater chuck wagon BBQs for special events.

In his later years, Duane enjoyed running his BBQ food truck at the North Sterling Reservoir and other locations around Sterling.  He had an infectious smile and he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents Julia and Fulton Kloberdanz, sister Suzette, wife Carolyn, and his fur baby Pixie.

Duane is survived by his daughters, Koda Claunch, Brenda and Barb Kloberdanz, son Keinen and four grandchildren Wyatt, Kolby, Colter, Lola and his beloved fur babies Orion and Cricket. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
