Duane Henry Bettger, 82 of Loveland, CO passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 9, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, at Riverside Cemetery with Reverend James R. Nash officiating.

Duane was born April 6, 1942, in Sterling, CO to Oscar and Leona (Weitzel) Bettger. He graduated from Sterling High School. Duane farmed for his family in his earlier years and then he was a pressman for the Sterling Journal Advocate and Loveland Reporter Herald.

He enjoyed growing vegetables, eating German food and time spent with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father Oscar and mother Leona, brothers Melvin and Gilbert Bettger, brother-in-law Melvin Penner, sister-in-law Jean Bettger and son-in-law Martin Ballinger.

Duane is survived by his daughter Carri, son Scott, sister Norma Penner, brother Larry Bettger, grandchildren Paige Ballinger, Jackson Ballinger and wife Haley (who gifted him with his first great-grandchild), Colt Martin.

Contributions may be made to a charity of choice in honor of Duane.
