Dora Jean Kindsfater, 80 of Sterling, passed away Thurs., May 5, 2016 in Sterling. Visitation will be 10am until 4pm on Thurs., May 12, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:30am Fri., May 13, at Zion United Church of Christ, interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Dora was born a twin Sept. 8, 1935 in Sterling to Harry "Red" and Cora Stewart Marks. She attended Sterling schools and graduated from Sterling High School in 1954.
On March 6, 1955 she married the love of her life, Robert R. Kindsfater in Sterling.
She worked at the Fox Theater where her dad ran the projector and for Rominger Jewelry and Wal-Mart.
Dora was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and sang in the choir for many years. Dora enjoyed bowling and was on a league for many years.
Dora is survived by her twin sister Doris Mock of Fresno, CA; sister Pat Lambrecht of Sterling, CO; brother Donald Marks and wife Myra of Tucson, AZ; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Kindsfater; her parents; brother George Marks and wife Pauline; brothers-in-law Gene Lambrecht, Buell Mock, Raymond Kindsfater; brothers and sisters-in-law Donald and Ethel Kindsfater Gorham and elmer and Dorothy Kindsfater.
