Donna Lee Short, 87 of Sterling passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Sterling, CO just one week short of her 88 ^th birthday. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 20 at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Hays officiating. The service will conclude at the church.

Donna was born December 22, 1930 in Goodland, Kansas to Roy and Viola (Taylor) Fixsen. She attended school in Goodland and graduated from Goodland High School. She attended business school in Denver. Donna married Don Short on September 5, 1957 in Raton, New Mexico. Together they were blessed with three sons, Daniel Dale, Douglas Dean and Dennis Don. They lived in Tribune and Hays, KS before moving to Sterling where Don took a job as an instructor at NJC.

Donna was a mother and homemaker as well as a secretary at Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her lunch friends and their friends from the Elks. She loved her dogs, animals and her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents; brother Eldon (Koy) Snowbarger; sister Roberta (Harvey) Linin.

Donna is survived by her sons, Dan and wife LaDonna of Salida, CO, Doug and wife Kendra of Sterling, CO and Dennis and wife Trish of Indianola, IA; grandchildren, Victor, Tyler, Molly, Zach, Chelsi, Tori, Devon and Cami and several nieces and nephews.
