Donna Lee Hunter Bergner was born May 28, 1938 at Storm Lake Hospital in Iowa, to Harlan and Erma Shannon Hunter. She passed away Fri. April 3, 2015 in Snyder, CO. Family services to be held at a later date.

She grew up on the family farm in Sac County, south of Newell. She attended Newell Schools. She took dancing lessons and performed in many recitals that included several beautiful costumes in her youth. Donna played basketball for the Newell Panthers. She was a member of the high school Glee Clubs and Quartets and in band while in high school. She was a favorite and regular singer for many weddings and funeral services, solo and along with her brother Bob. Donna graduated with the class of 1956 from Newell.

On Dec. 29, 1957 she was united in marriage with Gary Battles. They had two children together, Jerry Ai Battles and Rose Marie Battles Pruter. They later divorced. On June 10, 1978 she married Raymond Bergner and had children Tamatha Kay Bergner and Thomas Lee Bergner and welcomed his children Ohlee Bergner, Connie and Donna into her life.

Donna and Ray took many trips in the semi to many states. They loved to eat out and made several friends along the way. They shared the common hobby of growing flowers and gardening. She liked bowling and was on several leagues and played cards with family and friends. She loved collecting butterflies and dangly earrings and drinking iced tea.

She is survived by her husband Ray Bergner of Snyder, CO, children Jerry Battles, Rose (Mike) Pruter, Tami (Terry) Anding, Tom Bergner and stepchildren Ohlee (Gloria) Bergner, Connie Mackey and Donna (Ron) Oberto, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, her brother Robert (Carleen) Hunter and several nieces and nephews.
