Donald Robert Morgan, 90 of Sterling passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 in Greeley. Viewing will be held at 9: 00 a.m. to service time at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 12 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Rev. Jodie Harless officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Donald was born October 28, 1927 in Sterling, Colorado to Alfred and Hazel (Willet) Morgan. Donald serviced in the US Army 138 ^th Infantry Second Division during the end of WWII. He married Norma Deanne Squier August 10, 1946 at her family home near Atwood. He was employed by the Iowa Electric Light and Power Company of Sterling. Don retired in 1983 after 33 years of loyal service. After his retirement, Don and Norma spent their time traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. They spent many winters in Arizona.

Don was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, water and snow skiing, snowmobiling and motorcycling. He was a longtime member of the Sterling Elk's Lodge 1336. Don was a longtime volunteer at the Sterling Living Center. He could be also seen walking in the park or enjoying visiting with friends over a cup of coffee.

Don is survived by his brother Gilbert Morgan and wife Ruth of Hillsboro, Oregon; many nieces and nephews including Tim Morgan and wife Janette, Robert Squier and wife April and Linda Green and husband Sam, all of Sterling.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma, sister Helen and brother Clifford.
