Donald Leroy Johnson,71 of Sterling, passed away Sat., May 31, 2014 in Sterling. Private family service to be held.
Don was born Feb. 16, 1943 in Milfred, Nebraska to Melvin C. and Mildred Brady Johnson. He graduated from high school and served in the US Army in the late 1960's.
He owned and operated a cleaning company for several years. He later worked for the City of Sterling in the water department until his retirement in 2005.
Don is survived by sons Tom L. Johnson and wife Jill of Sterling and their sons Brendan and Brason; Danny Johnson and wife Suzanne of Aurora and their daughter Morgan and son William; daughter Lisa Ann Allen and husband Todd of Aurora and their daughters Jackie Rodriguez and Christie Allen; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Mildred Johnson.
