Don Gross Donald "Don" Leroy Gross, 36, of Sterling, died Nov. 24, 2010, in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Young officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Mr. Gross was born Nov. 5, 1974, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Pat Cain and Julia Gross. He attended Sterling High School and Northeastern Junior College, majoring in small business management.

He was employed at 7-11 from 1988 to 2002.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bass guitar, growing his garden, watching TV and movies, playing games and watching football. He also loved taking care of his dogs, Hynia and Bear.

Mr. Gross is survived by his mother, Julia Gross of Sterling; father, Pat Cain of Scottsbluff; brother, Walter Gross; sisters, Wanda Whitman and husband Chuck and Wilma Gross; sisters-in-law, Helen Gross and Tracey Whittet; nieces, Angela Whitman, Annie Winters and husband Brandon, Jennie Gross, Kellie Gross, Christina Baucom and husband Paul, Holly Gross and Brittany Gross; nephews, Brad Whitman and wife Sara, Chris Gross; great-nephews, Bradley Whitman, Evan Whitman, Jordan Winters, Nate Winters and Derek Baucom; great-nieces, Autum Winters, Natalie Baucom and Elizabeth Baucom.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Gross and Wind Gross.
