Dixie J. Kingsbury, 72, of Sterling, passed away Dec. 21, 2013, in Sterling. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ed Bigler III?officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

Dixie was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Torrington, Wyo., to Montie R. and Myrtle G. (Spurgin) White.On July 14, 1956, she married Robert R. Kingsbury in Sidney, Neb.She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and VFW?Auxiliary. She moved to Sterling from Stoneham 14 years ago.

Dixie is survived by her daughters, Faith Pettit and husband Larry of Ponca City, Okla., Lydia A. Harms and husband Leonard of Iliff, Letha R. Walker of Sterling; sons, Lyle G. Kingsbury and wife Laura of Las Vegas, Nev., and Carl R. Kingsbury of Sterling; brother, Boby White and wife Pat of Arizona; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Kingsbury in 1985; daughter, Rita May Kingsbury; sons, Dale Kingsbury and Edwin R. Kingsbury; and brother, Galen B. White.Memorials may be made to Dixie J. Kinsbury Memorial.
