Devin was born July 21, 1976 in South Sioux City, Iowa to Dennis Ray and Garsene Ann (Lindstrom) Trump. Devin attended Sterling Junior High and High Schools where he excelled in academics, football, and band. He earned his high school diploma at SHS in 1994 and accepted the Adams State Honors Scholarship. He began taking medical courses at Adams State in Alamosa to become a doctor, but after two years he changed his major, and in 1998 completed his Bachelor's in Computer Science. He was recruited for employment by IBM in Boulder, and moved to Longmont, CO the same year.
Devin was an intelligent, thoughtful, kind man of integrity who valued honesty and sincerity in others. He was witty and extremely likeable with a wide, infectious smile, yet was also reserved. He was well-read and informed; his family will miss the ever-ready, abundant flow of relevant and interesting information he kept on tap for conversations. Devin appreciated many forms of music and cuisine. He enjoyed his work with computers and networking, kept up with many different sports including football and hockey, and he would be of the opinion that we have talked about him entirely too much already!!
Survivors include his brother, Cullen Trump and sister-in-law Jeneen, nieces Bryony, Darcy, and Camryn of Sterling; brother, Shannon Trump and Kamera Palser, nephew Ryan Trump of Sterling; aunt, Rosslyn Patchin and uncle Patrick of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and uncle, Clarence Trump of Scottsbluff, NE.
Devin was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and niece Shaelynn Trump.
