Dennis Lyne, 83 of Clay Center, Kansas passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Sterling, Colorado. A private family service will be held at a later date.
George Dennis Lyne was born on January 5, 1934 in Ottawa County, Kansas to George Henry and Edith Violet (Comfort) Lyne. Dennis graduated from McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas with a Bachelors of Arts degree. He was a teacher of Industrial Arts at Lindsborg Jr. High School for 22 years.
Dennis married Jean E. Larson on June 4, 1953 in Miltonvale, Kansas. He was a volunteer fireman while living in Bavaria, Kansas. He enjoyed woodworking, model railroads, fishing, hunting and gardening. Dennis also served in the Army Reserves.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Jean of Clay Center, Kansas; daughters, Cynthia (Breck) Monier of Sparland, Illinois and Paula (Kenneth) Frantz of Fleming, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Lydia Monier of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Dustin (Stacy) Monier of Seneca, Kansas, Nathan Frantz of East Lansing, Michigan and Rachel Frantz of La Verne, California; great grandchildren, Kinsey, Emilia and Lawson Monier all of Seneca, Kansas and sister, Sharalyn Tiers of Salina, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edith Lyne.
