Obituary
Dennis Sidney Jochem, 75 of Hondo, Texas, passed away Wed., April 13, 2016 in Hondo. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at a later date at the German Valley Cemetery in Brewster, Nebraska. A memorial has been established with hospice.
Dennis was born on Nov. 26, 1940 in Long Pine, NE to John R. and Vera D. (Searles) Jochem. He received his education in several schools including Wentworth Military Academy, but mostly from life. He married Judith Patterson in 1959 where they farmed in Humansville, MO and had one daughter. They moved to Denver, CO and had two more daughters and one son. Later he married Bonnie Strait Woliver and worked for Standard Oil Company. He then married Barbara Zinns and moved to Sterling, CO. He owned and oprated Jochem Oil Company and married Donna Felzien. They later owned and operated Pick-up Products of Ogallala, NE and eventually retired at Lake McConaughy, NE and traveled extensively till Donna died in 2005. He then married Dianne Vassos and lived at Lake McConaughy, NE and Hondo, TX until they both sold their Nebraska homes and settled in Texas.

He enjoyed working outdoors, playing music and visiting friends and sharing in humor and laughter.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Dianne and daughters, Tammy (Jochem) Mohr, Teresa "Toni" (Jochem) Knoll and Kelly (Jochem) Johnston, son John R. Jochem, stepson Cory Felzien, stepdaughters Debbie (Felzien) Fitzjohn and Deanna (Felzien) Weingardt, foster daughter Margie (Kelly) Schafer, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother Johnny Jochem, sisters-in-law Genevieve Jochem and Carolyn Jochem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna (Felzien) Jochem, grandson Josh Johnston, one great granddaughter, brothers Ken Jochem and Robin Jochem, two half sisters Buehla Jochem and Ann (Jochem) Honaker and sister-in-law Dorothy Jochem.
