Delbert Dale Wolff, 85 of Sterling, passed away Mon., March 16, 2015 in Sterling. Visitation will be Thurs., March 19 from 10am until 5pm at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Fri. March 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be at the Haxtun Cemetery, Fri., March 20 at 1:30 pm.
Delbert was born February 21, 1930 in Haxtun, CO to Herman and Pearl Pope Wolff. He graduated from high school and continued his education for four more years. He served in the US Army . After his discharge he was the band teacher at the Yuma schools.
He married Betty Marie Meakins in Haxtun on April 29, 1951. They lived in Haxtun where Delbert farmed. He was an elder at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Haxtun, a member of the Haxtun Co-Op Board and the Haxtun School Board. They moved to Sterling in 1989. He was a member and elder of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by son Michael L. Wolff and wife Debbie of Haxtun; daughter Debbie J. Neville and husband Ray of Sterling; brothers Deo Wolff and wife Diane of Coarsegold,California, Jerry Wolff and wife Miriam of Coos Bay, Oregon; sister Shirley Lucero of Lakewood, CO; sister-in-law Joanne Wolff of Sidney, NE;four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, Michelle Lock and husband Brian, Haxtun and their children Aly, Carter and Kaylee; Casey Wolff and wife Megan, Haxtun and their children Ryland and Ashlyn; Josh Neville, Loveland; Nichole Neville, Lexington, Kentucky.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Wolff in 2014 and brother LaVern Wolff.
