David R. Orton, 57, of Sterling, Colorado, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018. A private celebration of Dave's life will be held at a later date.

Dave was born December 11, 1960 in Sterling to Harry Richard and Lila Lea (Whittenbaugh) Orton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lila McFarland and step-father Mac McFarland.

Dave is survived by his brother, Mike and Beth of Arizona, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great-nieces, 1 great-nephew, extended family members and his close friends.

Dave was a quiet man and had a big heart. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He had a lifelong passion for 'Classic' cars and spent most of his time tinkering in his shop. He was always happy to be a part of whatever his friends and family were doing.
