David John Kraft, 56 of Fleming passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 4 at Fleming Cemetery with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating.

David was born on December 27, 1964 at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota to George Richard Kraft and Lila Mae (Kaufman) Kraft. When David was young, he was an energetic child and enjoyed climbing trees, snowball fights, and listening to his sister, Patty play her clarinet. He attended schools at the Douglas School System in Box Elder, SD. He also participated in Boy Scouts. David worked many years as a security officer at the motorcycle rallies in Sturgis, South Dakota. After his health started failing, he purchased a home and moved to Fleming, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lila and his stepmother Doris E. Kraft.

David is survived by sisters Theresa Ertz, Patty Kraft and Wendy Groenewoud; brother Rodney Kraft and David's longtime roommate Margaret Coppess.
