David Wayne Capps of Sterling Colorado passed away early morning Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

David's celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 28th, 2023, at Freedom Outreach Church 1309 Sidney Ave Sterling, Colorado at 1pm. Immediately following we will be serving lunch.

David was born in Phoenix Arizona on October 15th, 1962, to Leland Gene Capps and Sondra Lee Chalfant. David was the one boy in the family and had 5 beautiful sisters Karla, Karen, Brenda, Shara, and Anna. David graduated from Yuma High School before joining United States Army. He enlisted in 81 and went to the Army Infantry school and Jump School both at Ft Benning, GA. Following basic training, he was stationed with Aco 3/5 Abn in Panama. After serving 2 years overseas, he was sent to 3/325 Abn Ft Bragg, where he served until, he was discharged.

David was preceded in death by his father Leland(Gene) Capps, his mother Sondra Lee Lohman, and his sister Karla McCoy.

David was a very proud father of one child Andrew Jacob Capps, who is married to Nicole and had three beautiful grandchildren Kylee, Jeagun, and Ava. David loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren, fishing, camping, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
