Darrell Lee Lambert

Darrell Lee Lambert, 74, of Fleming, died April 17, 2007, in Haxtun, after a three-year battle with cancer. There was cremation. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, at Fleming United Methodist Church, with services concluding at the church. The Rev. Keith Hudiburgh and the Rev. Al Strauss will officiate.
Mr. Lambert was born June 6, 1932, to Oliver and Leona (Plog) Lambert in Haxtun. He attended Fleming High School and graduated in 1950.
On Feb. 10, 1957, he married Helen Fryrear in Haxtun. He lived his whole life in the Dailey area, where he owned and operated a dairy and also raised corn and wheat.
He was a lifetime member of the Sterling B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 1336. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and traveling.
Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Helen Lambert of Fleming; sons, Mark Lambert and Neal Lambert, both of Fleming; daughter, Jodi Kippes and husband Tony of Iliff; grandchildren, Brice and Alexa Kippes, both of Iliff; sisters, Audrey Hadeen and husband Richard of Ava, Mo., and Delores Slizeski and husband Harold of New Caney, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Leona Lambert; stepmother, Vesta Lambert; and brother, Herb Wilson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Plains or Fleming United Methodist Church.
