Darlena Annabelle (Owens) Milligan of Sterling, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025.Viewing will be held from 9-2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Halouska Family Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Cecil Hays officiating. Darlena will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Darlena was born in Seymour, Missouri, to Orville and Emma (Rowe) Owens on December 14, 1935. On February 16, 1954, she married her childhood love, Dempsey Milligan. For the next 67 years, she was a persevering military wife and devout pastor's wife. She lived her life as a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed church gatherings, family get-togethers, working puzzles, playing piano, and keeping up with friends and family on social media.

Darlena was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Debra (Milligan) Kerker (Richard) and grandson-in-law Jason Sobieray.

Darlena is survived by her sons: Darwin (Jean) Milligan, Dennis Milligan and Dalen Milligan; grandchildren: Dawna (Bryan) Kaiser, David Milligan, Dani (Michael) Mendoza, Dena Kerker-Brunelle, Rebecca (Kenneth) Hutchings, Joseph Milligan, Faith Milligan, Kaitlyn Sobieray, Ashley (Doug) Fredrickson, Destiny Milligan, Daniel Williams, Dakota Williams and Matt Scott; great-grandchildren: Angelene Jewell, Jaylene (Lawrence) Jewell-Griego, Kylene Jewell, Dylan Kaiser, Alexandra Kaiser, Eliot Kaiser, Tristen (Chloe Chavez) Stone, Zerrina Mendoza, Drake Gandee, Drason Horn and Cecil Fredrickson and great-great-grandchildren: Emilio Fraire, Elijah Fraire, Daxton Jewell-Griego, and Zaylani Chavez-Stone.
