Obituary
Danny Lee Knight, 63, of Sterling, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, in Sterling.
Memorial services will be held at Faith United Methodist Church 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14. No graveside services. A reception will be held at the church following the service.
Mr. Knight was born July 15, 1952, in Omaha, Neb., to Donald and Darlene Knight. He grew up in California. The family moved to Sterling in the mid 1970s. He left Sterling, returning in 2008.
He worked in janitorial and industrial occupations. He was a janitor at the Elks Club and at Nichols Tillage. He worked as a security guard while living in Hawthorne, Nev. He loved fishing and loved to shoot pool.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Donald Knight in 1964 and his brother Darrell Knight in 1980, adopted children Daisy and Daniel.
He is survived by his mother, Darlene Knight; brother Doug Knight; daughter, Dawnette Knight; two grandsons; one adopted child, Deanna; one uncle and one aunt; three nieces and one nephew.
