Daniel Wayne Harms, 66, of Iliff entered eternal life on March 12, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Pierce of United Church of Crook officiating. Inurnment to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
Dan was born December 10, 1957, in Sterling, Colorado to Bernie and Bonnie Harms. He graduated from Caliche High School in 1976 and earned an associate in applied science degree from Northeastern Junior College for Farm Machinery Mechanics in 1978. Dan continued his studies at the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo in the fall of 1979, majoring in Diesel Mechanics. He built a career as a diesel mechanic, working for Donnelly Casing Pulling Company and Circle B Oil Field Services.
Dan enjoyed collecting and restoring cars, collecting John Deere Bs and was a lifetime member of the United Church of Crook. He rarely missed a day at Lu's.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Dan is survived by his brother, Mike Harms and wife Raydene of Iliff; his niece, Brenda Harms of Sterling; and his nephew, Scott Harms of Holyoke.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dan's name to the Crook Fire Protection District, 105 1st St, Crook, CO 80726.
