Dale R. Mildenberger

Dale R. Mildenberger, 63, of Sterling passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his home. A celebration of Dale’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, at Prairie Park 807 Elm Street Sterling, Colorado.

Dale was born November 27, 1962, in Sterling, CO to Robert Francis Mildenberger and Emily Jane Martin. Dale worked as a welder for Industrial Welding for many years and as a correctional officer for Sterling Correctional Facility for 13 years.

Dale married Rhonda Ellen Martin on January 5, 1980, in Sterling, CO. He was a member of the Fort Wicked Muzzleloaders Club and the Sterling Rifle Club. Dale enjoyed trick shooting, competing in the 1,000-yard shooting, and forging. He also made decor out of medal horseshoes, hearts, and metal Christmas trees. He also enjoyed water skiing, camping, hunting, tubing and attending his grandchildren’s events and sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Francis and Emily Jane

Dale is survived by his wife Rhonda, his sons Andy (Sara) Mildenberger and Sam (Amber) Mildenberger, grandchildren Torilynn, Kylie, Kendra, and Kash, great grandchild Tobias Whited, brothers David, Dennis, and Daniel (Leslie) Mildenberger and a brother-in-law Terry (Nancy) Martin and nephews Zach Martin, Scott (Chelsi) Mildenberger Randi (Audra) Mildenberger nieces April (Elvis) Guy, Hannah Mildenberger, Becky White
