Daisy Lively 98, passed away Fri., March 4, 2016 in Brighton, CO. She was surrounded by some members of her family. Visitation will be 10am until 4pm Wed., March 9, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11am Thurs., March 10 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, with Rev. Sean Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Daisy was born July 19, 1917 near Iliff, CO to Adolph and Effie Hielscher. She moved with her parents to Atwood, Padroni and Crook. She attended school in Iliff, Daisy was in 4-H growing up and raised a steer and sheep. She worked hard in the fields growing up and helped her mom with chores around the house.
She married the love of her life Raymond Lively, August 26, 1940 in Sidney, NE. After getting married Ray and Daisy lived in Logan County where she lived for over 40 years. Daisy helped with the FHA at Padroni High School and was also a 4-H leader for the Little Acorns of Padroni. They moved to Sterling after leaving the farm south of Padroni until she lost her beloved husband of 64 years. She remained in the Sterling community until 2009 after she lost their daughter Dorcus Kinzie. Shortly after she then moved to Brighton, Co to be closer to her son Jack (Kay) Lively who then became very involved in her care at her assisted living facility. Jack, Kay, Jayleen, Kathryn and Rose were Daisies 5 angels that would look in on her almost daily.
She is survived by her daughter Margaret (Kenneth) Wagner of Ft. Collins, CO and son Jack (Kay) Livley of Brighton, CO and daughter Kathryn Marick of LaCrosse, WI. She also has 23 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Carl (Rose)Hielscher of Kingsman, AZ, sister Lily Dupper of Grand Junction, CO and 3 sisters-in-law Irene Walker, Marie Garrison and Donna (Chuck) Geno of Kansas and many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lively, Sr., son Raymond Lively, Jr. daughter Dorcus Kinzie, her parents, her 4 brothers, 1 sister, 2 granddaughters and 1 great grandson.
