Daisy Almerna Knight, 69 of Sterling, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Daisy was born September 16, 1952, to Clide Andrew Hall and Evelyn Carrie (Spurgin) Hall. She graduated from Sterling High School. After graduation, she worked at J & L for many years and then went to work at DZB Ammunition Base and finished her career at Sykes as a customer service representative. She married Albert Kohl in 1969 and later divorced, she married Danny Knight in 1979 and they later divorced, and she married Rick Helton in 1998 and they later divorced.

Daisy enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, marbles, and watching TV, especially her soap operas. She loved Elvis Presley and listening to country music. She was affectionately known as everyone's mom. She provided in home day care for many children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Daisy Webberding; son DJ Knight; grandson Andrew Webberding; best friend Bonita Thomas; nephew John Helvie; son-in-law Joseph Haines and brothers Clyde Hall & Jimmy Lee Teske.

Daisy is survived by her children DeeAnna Montes of NV, Dawnette Knight of CO, Sonja Haines of NE, Jennifer Maestas of CO, and Jeffery Maestas of CO; sister Mary Helvie and husband Sonny of CO and Tina Kohl and 12 grandchildren, Cindle, Elizabeth, Devin, Teresa, Estela, Joey, Kelly, Jessie, Enrique and Haylie, Dante, Gage
