Constance "Connie" Jean Slater, 73 of Sterling, CO passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. A celebration of Connie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. The service will conclude at the chapel.

Connie was born November 20, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to LeRoy and Phyllis (Zuehlsdorf) Waite. She graduated from Eagle High School and as an honor student from beauty school in Englewood, CO. Connie was a US rural mail carrier for Padroni and the Town clerk for Iliff for over 30 years. She loved to cook and spend time with her grandkids. She always enjoyed looking for new recipes and she had an extensive collection of cookbooks. Connie also loved to watch the Hallmark Channel.

She was preceded in death by her parents LeRoy and Phyllis, grandparents August and Ivy Zuehlsdorf and numerous other family members.

Connie is survived by her son John (Amanda) Slater of Iliff, CO; daughter Kendra (Brett) Drake of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Brett Slater of Parker, CO, Alyssa (Jordan) Slater of Greeley, CO, Cooper Slater of Sterling, CO, Breanna (Joel) Brekel, Emily Drake and Anthony Drake all of Omaha, NE; 6 great-grandchildren and brothers Skip (Michelle) Waite and Terry (Londa) Waite all of Berthoud, CO.
