Consuelo "Connie" O. Cabrera, 91 of Sterling passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Loveland. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday, July 12 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, July 13 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Sterling. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.
Connie was born June 22, 1927 in North Platte, Nebraska to Luis and Helen (Luna) Ochoa. She married Antonio "Tony" Cabrera December 17, 1947 in Sterling, Colorado. She was the owner of Acapulco Café and Restaurant from 1978 to 2000 and she also worked many years at other restaurants in the community. Connie enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, cooking, shopping, visiting with friends and working with her flowers.
Connie is survived by her sons, Joe Cabrera of Sterling, Bob Cabrera and wife Linda of Sterling and Dave Cabrera of Greeley; daughter Mary Quintana of Ft. Collins; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and special friend Marcey Callen.
She is preceded in death by her parents Luis and Helen; husband Antonio; sons Antonio Cabrera Jr. and Steven Cabrera; and three siblings, Rosie Gauna, Leonard Duenes and Bart Duenes.
